Welcome to Watercolors by Junne … a place where I can share my love of nature and the natural world through watercolor paintings.

After teaching physical education for more than 30 years in Illinois, I retired to Sarasota, Florida in 2015 with my husband of to enjoy life close to the beach, where I always envisioned living after I retired.

Once retired and after having a few surgeries that kept me immobile for a while, I picked up some new hobbies and one of them really stuck … watercolor painting.

I’ve always been quite crafty and artistic throughout my life. I’ve been an avid scrapbooker for many years and in my younger years, I spent many weekends at craft fairs selling a variety of homemade items.

Watercolor painting has become a passion of mine and I’m so excited to share my work with the world. I really enjoy painting landscapes, beach scenes, florals and a variety of seasonal-specific subjects.
